About Me

I am a certified Mindfulness Facilitator through the University of Stellenbosch as well as a certified Search Inside Yourself facilitator. I work with individuals and groups bringing mindfulness skills to meet people where they’re at, no matter where that may be. I operate from a positive psychology paradigm, believing that there’s more right with you than wrong with you.  I’m also a research psychologist, so I’m passionate about the science of all things mindfulness, compassion and emotional intelligence.

I began my own journey of mindfulness and compassion because I was so tired and jaded by the endless aggression of self-help and religion. It turned out I just have a very loud inner critic (like an annoying barking dog)! And this process just fuelled it. Anyone relate? My own healing and growth occurred by turning within with compassion, rather than looking for external means to fix what I thought was wrong with me.

I thought my mind was too busy and wired to meditate. I was wrong. So, if I can mediate, I promise anyone can! And I discovered mediation doesn’t have to be this deep, serious thing, reserved for monks and gurus. (unless you want to be a monk of course!) It can be light and joyful and fun! (And even monks have fun I’m sure!) Through this journey I found a totally new way of being. A way of being at peace in the world, connected, openhearted, and joyful. It’s nice to feel like I don’t have to measure up to some external standard of perfection. And the barking dog of the inner critic mostly stays in its kennel now.

Check out my course and workshops. I also offer one on one coaching and counselling.
